Success is less about bursting throung the midfield and delivering a killer through ball to your striker, and more about using the ball's movement to disrupt the opposition's shape, and create space for your teammates to work in. As such, it pays to have a basic understanding of how different formations create unique passing lanes, and set up situations in which you outnumber the other team in certain areas of the pitch. 
Rivals features gameplay somewhat similar to the earlier Hot Pursuit, with exotic cars and high-speed police chases. Players take on the role of a Racer or a Cop, with each side of the law offering its own set of challenges, risks and rewards. Rivals features eleven upgradeable gadgets such as EMPs, shockwaves and the ability to call in roadblocks. The game takes place in a fictional location known as Redview County. It's an open world and features over 100 miles (160 km) of open road, larger than that of 2012's Most Wanted, but on the same size as Criterion's Hot Pursuit. The open world features a similar set-up toMost Wanted, with several jumps, speed traps and unlockable cars, as well as shortcuts that are not shown on the map.
Dead Rising 3 takes place ten years after the events of the Fortune City outbreak. The story follows a young mechanic named Nick Ramos and his attempt to survive a massive zombie outbreak in the fictional city of Los Perdidos, California.
Ryse: Son of Rome begins with a tutorial section in the middle of the story, with Roman general Marius Titus leading the defense of Rome against oncoming Celtic barbarians led by a semi-mythical commander called "Damocles". After giving one of his soldiers a small sack and telling him to display it where the barbarians can see it, Marius helps secure the Roman emperor, Nero, in a privatesafe room. At the emperor's behest he begins to tell his story; the rest of the game is an extended flashback depicting Marius' adventures up to this point.
The single-player campaign takes place in Kyrat, a fictional region based on the Himalayan regions of Nepal, which is ruled by the despotic king Pagan Min. The player character is Ajay Ghale, a Kyrati raised in America who is returning to his homeland to disperse his deceased mother's ashes after leaving with his mother at age three, either to escape Min's regime or as punishment for his mother having apparently sired a daughter with Min some time before Ajay's birth. No sooner does he arrive in Kyrat he is dragged into a civil war that is raging between Pagan Min and the rebel organization known as the Golden Path (started by Ajay's parents). The player has free choice in choosing which force he sides with, resulting in different endings.
The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
